Anyone for Beever?
Beever, the latest hair care range to be launched in the UK. Formulated by expert hair stylists, Beever claims to contain all the essential products a stylist desires in a hair care range. I decided to put a few items from the collection to the test;
Beever 1 – Shaping Paste
Beever 4 – Mattifying Paste
Beever 5 – Pliable Paste
My hair is fairly fine – the most difficult type to style, so I do struggle to find an appropriate wax/styling cream to use. More often than not, I just use conditioner to style.
On with Beever No.1 – Shaping Paste £11.25 / 100ml
A fairly light, non-greasy paste which is great for the untidy look. Used in specific areas of the scalp, Beever Shaping Paste will add shape and style to your look. Not to be used all over the hair, it will ‘clump’ your barnet.
I found Beever Shaping Paste particularly handy in areas where rogue strands of hair prove stubborn to style. Medium hold and suitable for the lazier guy!
Up next, Beever No.4 – Mattifying Paste £11.25 / 100ml
Beever’s Mattifying paste is great for the well groomed chap. Polishes off the tidy look to a perfect sheen. The thing I love most about the formula, it doesn’t darken light hair – something which most hair products fail to achieve. My hair is light and fine so I simply warmed up the Beever Mattifying Paste in the palms of my hands and combed gently across the top of my hair (using my hands). Great to reduce the static effect after showering and perfect for the tidy ‘butler’ look.
Last but not least – Beever No.5 – Pliable Paste £10.75 / 125ml
This product is great for guys with thick, wire-like hair. It’s easy to apply, offers great coverage and strong hold. It didn’t work too well on my hair so I handed it over to a pal to give it a whirl. Suffering from unruly hair which marches to the sound of its own drum, he attacked the defying locks with Beever’s Pliable Paste and was pleasantly surprised with the results. Beever’s Pliable Paste doesn’t harden so it’s great if you’ve a long day ahead of you, you can tweek on the go.
