//HEALTH: It’s Bowel Cancer Awareness Month

April is the official bowel cancer awareness month in the UK. Legendary footballer, Bobby Moore, died of the all-too common condition at just 51 years of age. Stephanie Moore, Bobby’s widow, teamed up with Cancer Research UK in 1993 to set up the Bobby Moore Fund. The charity has raised over £14 million to date and the momentum continues to be consistent. The Bobby Moore Fund aims to create an awareness of the condition and raise capital to invest in valuable research to prevent the condition taking the lives of vulnerable sufferers.

We’ve decided to jump on the band wagon and assist in building awareness of this often silent pestilence. Throughout April we’ll be running a series of competitions, each lasting 7 days, to get the social media waves talking all things bowel cancer.
