Shore Style – Cowes Week
Whether you’re aboard the yacht or observing from the shore, sailing-style should be adhered to. With Cowes week just around the corner, we’ve compiled a list of sailing style tips to keep you looking suave on the seas.
On the Yacht -
1. Keep it bright and recognisable. Sailing is all about bright reds and sea blues; match the’ tones’ to the sail colours.
2. Establish a common look. Uniformity is the key here, get the group showcasing a consistent look.
3. Keep it light. Summer sailing can be a hot affair, layer thin pieces of clothing rather than bulking up with heavy jackets.
4. Style your eyes. Frame your face with some fabulous glasses.
On the Shore?
Observing the sport from the waterside is a voguish affair. Keep it sporty and chic by combining the best of rugby and sailing attire to achieve the ultimate look.
1. Must-Have. A plain white crew-neck t-shirt. This is not optional!
2. Sport a Rugby shirt over the top. Go for something light and bright.
3. Chinos. Watching from the coast keeps you dry so, focus on comfort – it could be a long day. Navy blue chinos are always a winner.
4. Remember your shades!
Most important of all, enjoy it!
